The Shepard Stove is so named because this heating stove and kitchen range was used by ranchers in cabins along the trail. The cowboys could transport this fairly light, two foot tall, steel and cast iron made stove with them as they drove their cattle or herded the sheep across the western landscape. The stove features an oven and four cooklids. There is white enameling on the oven and wood box doors that give the black stove some color and light. The Shepard Stove is a functional kitchen range with rustic charm.
