FOUNDRIES Atlantic Queen Cook Stoves
|
The Queen Atlantic was considered by the Portland Stove Foundry, the stove's manufacturer, to be the "creme de la creme" range of the company's line of kitchen ranges. This cabinet styled wood heated stove features a large oven, a large wood box and six cooklids. Storage space below the oven and wood box can house both wood and pots and pans. More storage space is provided by the two shelves above the stove top. A side shelf next to the cooklids is also a handy feature. A draft control on the side of the wood box helps to regulate heat throughout the kitchen. Nickel trim and nickel knobs add a touch of sparkle to the black cast iron. This Queen would rule the kitchen with style and function.
It often happens that space for the range is restricted. A practical and at tractive style is called the "Queen Atlantic Cabinet." The ordinary end hearth is eliminated and the ashes drop to a deep ash box in the base of the range. The base extends completely to the floor on all sides and is dust proof. Under the baking oven is a large warming oven. This construction reduces the wid th from right to left to 45 inches. The height from floor to main top is 32 inches and the depth from front to back is 31 inches.
The Queen Atlantic as a full coal and wood range, with 20 x 20 X 12 inch oven and six covers in the main top, all deriving their heat from the large fire box.
Having in mind its primary purpose to supply the full wood and coal cooking needs, there is scarcely an imaginable want in kitchen range equipment that is not amply provided for in this Queen Atlantic series. |
