The
Seventies (70s)

Holy Cow, can you believe
gas was 77 cents a gallon? What a rip-off. It cost a fortune to
take a drive in the country as my good friends here will attest. |

This was 1973. The oil crisis was in full swing. I was just starting to collect antique stoves, primarily for the artistic beauty of the things. It dawned on me, that heating with a stove could save money on gas or oil. It didn’t take long for that thought to turn into a viable business. |
The doors of the Good Time Stove Company
were officially opened. |

One day, soon after I decided
to sell antique heating stoves, I embarked on a journey to buy a couple
of stoves. The stoves were beauties. Vintage, classic, antique beauties.
The purchasing of the stoves, and the visit with the delightful stove
sellers was such a happy experience. It was a genuine Good Time. And it
has been a Good Time ever since. |
