The Modern Glenwood Oak was manufactured by the acclaimed Glenwood Company around 1900. At the time of its debut it was an extremely efficient heating stove. Now, over one hundred years later, it is just as an efficient heating stove as it was back then. The stately stove, standing at over five feet tall, can heat a large area all night long. Decorative nickel ribbing around the stove is not just pretty it helps distribute the heat. Primary and secondary draft controls, located on the ash cleanout door at the base, regulate the heat output. A cooklid is hidden beneath the dome at the top. The name of the stove is proudly displayed above the two mica windows on the front door. The venerable stove is equally as lovely as it is efficient.
