“The Pippen stove is a fabulous heater! It's the most interesting thing in the house. I could not be happier with the stove; it is magnificent. I am looking forward to the winter like I never have before.”

“Thought we would let you know how it is going with our new resident "Moose". He is strong, stable, sturdy and is quite content to munch on lighter fare when the weather is not bad but he can certainly put it away when it is a bit chillier! Though we have not had a serious blast by any stretch of the Yankee imagination, we have stoked him up to see what athletic prowess he may possess. Needless to say, he is more animal than we imagined when he has a full stomach, yet if we keep him a bit hungry, he works perfectly for these milder days.
Just had to let you guys know how it is going with the Army Cannon stove -wow...we are really blown away by how the heat travels all the way to our third floor up the back stairs and then also out into the main foyer. We tried cranking it up the other day and because it is not cold enough yet, we were blown out of the room for most of the day but got a good feel for the heat capabilities. I have had it running on just a low, slow burn for several days now and it keeps the chill out of most of the back of the house as well as making it a pleasure to be in our kitchen when it is chilly for the first time in 7 years. I am quite confident that we will be spending most of our time in the kitchen area this winter and with true pleasure.
The cats have discovered that laying UNDER the stove can be barrels of fun until Mom comes along to play with the fire. I am amazed at the amount of heat they can not only tolerate, but bask in.
Stephen is off to DC and is happy knowing Taylor and I will be warm for the first time EVER. This morning Taylor woke up and asked me how to "turn the stove up" as I had it running really low so she snuggled up in front of it like one of the cats...Moose looks like he has been in place forever and he has truly found his home.
Thanks for the perfect stove!”

“Three years ago we started to search for an alternative heating system to our oil burner. After researching pellet stoves, we decided to invest in 2 of these – one for the house, and one for the workshop that Joe uses daily. We used these stoves for one season, and were very disappointed in them – they did not provide adequate heat for the house, despite being high end appliances. The next season, we traded in the pellet stoves for two new state of the art wood stoves. The stove for the shop worked reasonably well, but the one for the house worked poorly despite promises that it would generate more than enough heat for the square footage in our house. So once again we were back to the drawing board – this time we started to look into an antique wood stove, since our home is 200 years old. We visited the Good Time Stove Company, and were enthralled by the stoves there. We discussed our disappointing experiences with modern equipment, and expressed our concerns about whether we would ever find a stove to heat our home. Richard assured us and reassured us and then assured us again that one of his reconditioned stoves would take care of us. He was very patient with us, and pointed out the stoves he felt would meet our needs. Although there were others whose appearance appealed to us more, these were not the ones he recommended for our situation. We made our choice, and had the stove installed. We are into our second season at this time, and we have remained very happy with the stove – it’s ease of use, and the amount of heat it generates has proven to be just what we wanted. It suits the house well aesthetically, and has reinforced our observation that old stuff is good stuff! We definitely recommend Richard and The Good Time Stove Company for unique and highly functional stoves!”
