WKR Dragon Adorned Wood Cook Stove

There is exquisite craftsmanship in both the line drawing by the talented Roberta Smart and in her subject matter - the magnificent steel built, wood fueled cooking range. Her detailing in the drawing is impeccable.
Touches of scroll work adorn the stove's legs. Shiny nickeling frame the large oven door and wood box doors. A delicate crown design is centered in the wood box door, while a whimsical crescent shaped nickel design is featured on the front of the water reservoir.
The kettle of water has just come to a boil on one of the six cooklids. Pretty nickel cutout trivets along the backsplash fold down providing a resting spot for a cup of tea to seep. Between the two trivets is a beautiful medallion with a floral motif. Framing the trivets are two beautiful scrolling nickel wings that lead up to the bread warmers.
At the very top of the stove, on each end of the bread warmer, sits a handcrafted nickel dragon. Notice how each dragon faces a different direction, as if keeping watch over the kitchen. The dragons are there to ward off evil spirits and protect the cook, the family and loved ones.
Great thought and care were given in crafting this amazing cooking range and heating stove, and crafting the line drawing. Thanks to Roberta Smart's talents and foresight, a piece of history, which is also a work of art, has been preserved for us, and future generations, to appreciate and admire.
